Case 25a - 38 year old male with persistent knee pain after MVA 4 months prior

A small number of PCL injuries will present with an osseous avulsion, typically of the tibial attachment. The fragment can be quite large, but usually is not significantly displaced. This case is unusual in the degree of displacement, which is not as well visualized on the plain film correlate. The degree of displacement also likely accounts for the lack of bony bridging in the four months since the initial injury.
