Case 10 - 28 y/o male with left hip pain 6054615
Case 10: 28 year old male runner with left hip pain.
- There is a very abnormal labrum in this left hip - note the loss of normal triangular morphology, sharp borders, and deep black signal of the labrum. A rather prominent linear hyperintense signal along the anterosuperior labrum represents a labral tear.
- Now scroll through the coronal sequence and note the globular fluid signal extending throughout the anterosuperior to inferior labrum. This abnormal signal reflects extensive intralabral cyst formation. You can compare this appearance with the normal labrum appearance here.
