Case 3

Full thickness tear of the posterior oblique ligament and oblique popliteal ligament.

Partial tearing of the distal semimembranosus tendon.

Partial tearing/sprain of the posterior meniscocapsular junction of the medial meniscus.

Since the posteromedial corner ligaments are components of the joint capsule, it is not surprising that full thickness tears can cause leakage of joint fluid into the surrounding musculature.
