Case 03 - 64 year old male with knee pain
Case 3: 64 year old male with several months of worsening right knee pain with activity.
- We reserve the term "osteochondral defect" for a lesion comprised of both bone and cartilage, whereas in this case there is flattening of the bone but the main separation is at the chondro-osseous junction. One could consider the term delamination of the cartilage in this case. It is possible that this is the sequela of a subchondral insufficiency fracture that is not healing appropriately.
